About Gloria Hebert

In the mid-1970s, after decades of personal collecting, Gloria Hebert opened Arcady Antiques on Montecito's Coast Village Road. Located in a former Texaco station, its horseshoe driveway allowed customers to easily pull up and drop in. Gloria originally named the store after the hilltop road where she lived, but later changed the name to her own.

From Parisian flea markets to Hong Kong jade bazaars, Gloria traveled the world to find unique pieces for her customers. She also bought from local estate sales, acquiring items once belonging to the area's Gilded Age residents. She closed her store in 1991.
