Stephen Turner, President

Turner Auctions + Appraisals was founded by Stephen G. Turner to complement and expand the capabilities of Stephen G. Turner Associates, a San Francisco-based auction and appraisal consulting firm founded in 2004. Turner is a seasoned auctioneer and professional appraiser of personal property with over 30 years' experience working with leading auction houses in North America. His areas of expertise include Fine Art, Decorative Arts, Antiques, and Residential Contents. 

Turner has often appeared in the media, including as a regular featured appraiser on HGTV's "Appraise It!" and, for 10 years, in the San Francisco Chronicle's Sunday appraisal feature, "What's It Worth?" He is a popular guest speaker on art and antiques at seminars and appraisal evemts in California. He is also a regular auctioneer in Northern California and makes frequent appearances at Bay Area charity auctions.

Turner adheres to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Stephen Gambill, Financial Advisor

Stephen Gambill provides accounting, tax and financial consulting services to Turner Auctions + Appraisals. He is a CPA, with over 35 years of financial experience. He has worked for international accounting firms a natural gas transmission company and has been a Chief Financial Officer for a public company. Gambill currently manages an accounting firm that provides financial services to small- to medium-sized companies.

He has a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and a MBA from the University of Chicago.


Jill Turner, Marketing, PR & Communications

Jill Matousek Turner works with Turner Auctions + Appraisals in marketing, public relations and communications, areas in which she has over 35 years' experience. Since 1989, she has owned and managed a consulting company that helps clients succeed in these areas. Previously, Turner was Vice President of Marketing for World Savings, where she managed an $8 million annual budget and a department of 25; there she was responsible for marketing strategy and implementation, new product development, and savings branch promotions. She also worked as Account Supervisor at Ketchum Advertising, a leading San Francisco advertising agency, managing the firm's key accounts. Turner began her career at Colgate-Palmolive in New York, where she worked in product management in both domestic and international divisions.

She graduated from the University of Denver, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, and studied for two years at the University of Strasbourg in France. Turner received her Master's degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona, now named the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
