Turner Auctions + Appraisals presents a San Francisco Estate Auction, featuring items from various estates and collections. Offering over 215 lots, the timed auction features a diverse selection of artworks, decorative arts and other items from Asia, Europe and North America. From China are Ming and Song dynasty bowls; jade sculpture, belt buckles, jewelry, a purse and carvings; vases, bowls, jars and platters, including Blanc de Chine; lacquer and cinnabar boxes; calligraphy and scrolls; snuff bottles; dolls; and a 19th-century screen. From Japan are kimonos, fabrics, woodblock prints, Imari dishes, a cup and saucer set, a censer, and small cabinets. From the U.S. are Southwest and Native American items, including Old Pawn jewelry and artwork; from Canada are a selection of Inuit carvings and sculpture. Artworks from Europe and America, mostly, from the 18th-20th centuries, features oils, watercolors, pastels, etchings and engravings; artists include William Alexander Gaw, Chiura Obata, David Chapple, Wilhelm Riedel and Hans J. Peeters. Rounding out the sale are other diverse lots, such as tribal arts catalogs, antique books, sterling and silverplate items, purses, vintage cameras, and groupings of nesting chickens.
